The iPhone 15 could make a big leap in terms of charging speed. According to 9to5Mac, "at least some" of the iPhone 15 models could achieve charging speeds of up to 35W, thanks to USB-C. The current iPhone 14 models can be charged at a maximum of about 27W. Increasing it to 35W would significantly reduce charging times. Apple currently recommends a 20W+ power adapter for fast charging, but with the new iPhone 15 models, the MacBook Air 30W power adapter or the 35W Dual USB-C power adapter could be recommended for maximum charging performance. It remains to be seen whether the faster charging speed will only be available with MFi-certified cables and adapters, and whether it may be exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro models.
