Apple has today released watchOS 9.6.1, a small update for the Apple Watch that fixes bugs. This update comes two weeks after the launch of watchOS 9.6, another bug-fix update. To download the new software, the Apple Watch needs to be opened via the Apple Watch app on the iPhone, and the update can be found under "General". In order for the installation to be successful, the Apple Watch must have at least 50 percent battery, be placed on a charger, and be within range of the iPhone. According to Apple, the update fixes an issue that prevented access to motion data for apps that use the Movement Disorder API to track shaking and symptoms related to Parkinson's. Soon, watchOS 9 will be replaced by watchOS 10, the next generation of watchOS, which is currently being tested by Apple.
