Apple recently released the sixth beta version of iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 to developers for testing purposes. The software comes one week after the release of the fifth beta version. With iOS 17, Apple introduces numerous new features and improvements. Users can now set up personalized call views, view live voicemails in real-time, and have voice messages transcribed in iMessage. Additionally, users can now record video or audio messages when someone misses their FaceTime call. FaceTime can also be used on Apple TV through the Continuity feature. In the Messages app, the apps have been moved to a new, more streamlined interface, and there is a new feature called "Check-In" that allows friends and family to track a person's location. In a group chat view, there is an arrow to track older messages, and search filters make it easier to find content. All emojis have been redesigned as stickers, and all users can use cropped parts of images as stickers. Widgets on the home screen are now interactive, and AirDrop has been improved. There is also a feature called "NameDrop" that allows contacts to be quickly shared, and SharePlay now works with CarPlay as well. Other new features in iOS 17 include a diary app, AirPlay in select hotels, improvements for AirPods Pro 2 through a new Adaptive Audio feature, offline maps, Siri activation without "Hey," and improvements for search.
